MV500 is the unified voice of six counties – Herkimer, Fulton, Montgomery, Oneida, Otsego and Schoharie – called the Mohawk Valley.

Mohawk Valley Regional Economic Development Council officials today announced the launch of the “MV500 Project,” a comprehensive, coordinated strategy to create the region’s entry in Governor Andrew Cuomo’s $1.5 billion Upstate New York Economic Revitalization Competition. In January, the Governor’s plan to award $500 million each to the three regions that create winning economic development plans was announced; in March, MV500 was initiated by Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente.

Through new vision, energy and commitment to regional unity, MV500 is the action behind developing a regional plan that will connect, sustain and leverage our six counties’ shared strengths in order to build the economic growth and quality of life.
